Have just had a wonderful few days up in the Highlands of Scotland. Spent lots of time of the train getting there. Here are some sketches done to help pass the time away. Not easy on a wobbly train.
|
Just used a tiny tin of paints and a water brush pen, and a permanent 0.5 black pen |
|
Sorry to any of you thinking of buying this car, it is NOT as short in the bonnet as I have made it! Once I had drawn it in pen I couldn't rub it out! |
|
A few things I found in the newspaper.
All done in a 6 x 4 W&N sketch book |
All very good sketches, Polly, I hope you had a great time in Scotland!
ReplyDeleteThank you, and yes, a wonderful time. Such awesome views.
DeleteEven in a wobbly train your works come out great ! I'm quite envious of that trip, Scotland is a place I really would like to visit!
ReplyDeleteIt's spectacular where we went, but we hoped we had missed those pesky swarms of midges!
DeleteThey look great, I'm amazed people draw on buses and trains. I tried once in the car… gave me a headache and the lines were everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI can't paint in anything with wheels on it makes me feel sick. Love the train if you get a seat with a table, it helped pass the time.
DeleteI see that you also had brought some reading with you ;) These little sketches are Topper. Kisses!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Lydie. 4 hrs was a long journey! So yes I took a great book to read. Thanks for your visit :)
DeleteHi Polly, nice sketches! I remember going up north on that train many years ago and sheeps were everywhere. I couldn't get enough of the fabulous view. Hope you took some great pics too!
ReplyDeleteTooks loads of pics, scenary was spectacular. A painting wouldn't do it justice
