Not very often I feel like painting a flower. So when I saw this, and Ingrid Ormestad said that I could paint it, I couldn't resist. Most of you may know I don't like painting flowers. Well - I enjoyed this one, just a little bit, and it's not too bad.
Thank you

ReplyDeleteI always marvel at the fact that you don't like to paint flowers, you do them SO well , this is a real stunner !
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments, makes me smile that you like my flower, battle though it was. Liked painting the background though ha ha.
ReplyDeleteWhen you paint a floral so beautifully as this Polly one would think you do them all the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorraine. I could never do them all the time, so much to paint out there and I like variety.
DeleteYou did an impressive job on all those petals and their shading!!! I can understand that there are certain things we each prefer not to paint all the time, but it is fun to try them especially when they come out this good.
ReplyDeleteThanksa lot Joan. I am a Jack of all trades and master of none. Like to try different things.
DeleteThe painting is so soft, delicate and beautiful! Even if you don't particularly like painting flowers, you apparently do them very well.
ReplyDeleteThank you Blaga for your encouragement. One day perhaps I will enjoy painting them, I certainly enjoy looking at them

ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Judy Have a lovely Sunday
DeleteHow lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt's exquisite! I like your honesty, though, telling us that flowers aren't usually your thing. Funny, isn't it, how we are sometimes pulled toward other subjects and styles that we don't consider to be our style, and yet we learn something about ourselves in the process. Whether you continue to paint florals or not, I'm guessing the experience enriched you as an artist. I love the flow and blend of the piece, by the way!
