GUESS WHO?

At the weekend I went to visit a good friend of mine.  He does have a bit of a chip on his shoulder but boy can he sing.  He really fancies this girl called Christine.  Haven't met her yet.  It's about time he met someone and settled down.  He spends all his time underground. He's very pale so I've told him he needs a good holiday in the sun. As he loves opera I suggested that he goes to Sydney Opera House.  I painted this while he was asleep.

  1. Oh I so love Phantom Polly. I saw it in the West End a few years ago. I've seen the film about four times too. Have you seen the follow up? I haven't yet. Fabulous painting with a lovely colour palette for the subject.

    1. Yes I did see the follow up, but don't know if it's still on. My friend Andrew had changed the ending and actually appeared and sat in the audience to watch it. He got a standing ovation. The atmosphere was electric when people realised he was there. Nothing would compare to Phantom, but I loved it and the twists and turns. The music wasn't so memorable though. It's one of my favourite musicals. Saw it in Liverpool on Saturday. And yes I too have the DVD.

    1. He slept like a log, it was his monkey music box that woke him up

  4. Hi, Polly,
Good work, a bit spooky though?! Yes, he has to come to Sydney RIGHT NOW! We still enjoy swimming at a beach and Sydney Opera House awaits him.

    1. I'm sure you'll welcome him in for a cup of tea before he goes to the Opera.

  5. Nice work on creating the form on this Polly, I have been fortunate enough to see the show twice and know I would really enjoy it a third time

    1. I was worried it might not be as good as the West End, I saw it in Liverpool. It was really excellent and the audience were too.
