I'M GETTING REALLY EXCITED

I would never, ever have thought when I started a blog, that I would be saying this, but it's true.  Nearly 10,000 looks at my Watercolour Blog.  How wonderful is that.  So, may I say to you all out there what fun I have had, how much I have learned from you, and how much you have inspired me.  You see I had reached a safe plateau with my painting, never thought I could improve or find so many subjects to paint. My enthusiasm was waning.  You, yes you out there, have given me the joy of painting that I had when I first started. So a big and heartfelt thank you!!!

Right, back to the business of painting - here are some more of my 'things around the house'. I decided to find things around the house that were simple to paint.  I have already done a candle and some hand cream.  (See previous post)

Ok so it's a toilet roll holder, what else is there in the downstairs  loo?  And everything in there is white anyway so I thought that was a good challenge

This is from the Hall, supposed you would say it is 'retro' but it  is a family  memory item.  We used to have a red carpet in the hall but now it's neutral.  This doesn't really go but I just don't care!

Anyway, I again send you a REALLY BIG THANK YOU 10,000 times

Luv' from Polly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. Really well done Polly!!! Have just been looking at my figures as well and am equally gobsmacked!!! It does inspire you to know you have somewhere to show your work where you know people are going to see it. I also realy enjoy writing mine and sometimes write one with no painting to post but with the knowledge that people are going to see and read it so doesn't feel like I am talking to myself which having a husband and two sons it often feels like it!!

  7. I've never really taken notice of the 'looks' before. Congrats on reaching 10,000! I like Blogger so much better than Facebook - it seems more 'family', friendly and inspirational.

    Here's to your next 10,000

    1. Sue, thanks for being a regular visiter to my blog. I couldn't believe it when I had 100 never mind 10,000. Blogging is more friendly too, I think facebook is one day it's here and then it's gone. Flash in the pan type of media, but I do enjoy it. But blogging is my favourite, and thank you again.

  9. congratulations, Polly--! I love these two paintings. I must have read the thing about the red glass five times, though...still not sure. Did you paint it from memory? er...what does your carpet have to do with the glass?? It's probably clear to everyone but me! lol!

  10. Not you, am I not very articulate. The glass I have kept because it has family memories, but it doesn't go with our new hall carpet which is beige, the original carpet was red. I painted it from real life. Hope that is clearer. Oh dear I must go back to school for speaking zee English!!!

  13. Well done you. Totally understand how you feel. It always amazes me that people come to view my mundane ramblings but then again I wander around, though at a slower pace these days, viewing theirs and find them really inspirational and yours is no exception. So a big cheer for your next 10,000 and the next after that. xx
