CHALLENGES 1 & 2

You may remember that I asked you to challenge me. Give me subjects to paint over the Easter Weekend.  So far I have completed two. In between long phone calls from friends, trip into town shopping and eating!  I was given six and have just received another today. It's keeping me out of mischief.

Sue Clinker - blog http://pencilpix.blogspot.co.uk suggested Easter bunnies, chicks etc. an Easter Theme.  Do have a look at her wonderful work.  Her work second to none. Takes your breath away.  Portraits and animals in particular.

This is what I came up with.  I have called it 'Spot the odd one out'. Thank you Sue.


The second one was suggested by Lesley Nugent of  http://nuggletonbythesea.blogspot.co.uk (quirky naive paintings) she has just heard that she has become a member of the Assoc of  Naive Artists! Lesley suggested perspective shapes.


This is not a colour wheel, or anything like that, merely a celebration of colour in a perspective way.  Just me having fun with colour.

    Beautiful both of them ! The bunny is fabulous , perfect title and so well painted, the second one is pure joy and love of color... must have been quite difficult to keep all the small rooms in straight lines ?

    The first painting is so creative both in subject and title... and the second....any excuse to play with the paint, and can see the pattern you have done.... sometimes it is the paintings we struggle most with that we learn the most from!!

      Very true words! What would I do if I didn't paint? Watch tv, read, housework - no comparison.

      There have been some unusual choices that if I was looking for something myself I wouldn't choose. Taking me off that safe plateau. Hope you're enjoying Easter xx

    Hi Polly from sunny Fuerteventura (not gloating - much)

    Love the bunny/buns ... you have a vivid imagination and I always enjoy your quirky themes. You have been productive over the holiday, perhaps you ought to send hubby off more often LOL

      I bet your chocolate melted over there with the heat!! (I havenn't an envious bone in my body)

      I did have a lovely time all on my own, but I wouldnt want that all the time so back to normal tomorrow. Thanks for your idea
