Have been trying to set up a page on Facebook. Am I worn out mentally. And I havent finished yet. Taking a welcome break and back to my blog. I saw Sharon Whitley had painted her walking boots, they look really worn out, do look at them ...... here are mine
I now have a more comfy pair, pity about my feet, which are not made for walking!
Hi Polly, nice boots btw, in regard to fb page it took me a bit to get my head around it all and when I thought I had it still baffles me. I set up a page to show and share my watercolours as I don't really use fb personally so rather than have friends I encourage people to like my page. I have a link on my blog for this too. Good luck with it all
ReplyDeleteThanks. At the momement I'm going to leave it as it is and start looking at others pages. Back to painting properly next week. I don't like to be beaten though.
DeleteHi Polly - love your boots - I've done a few paintings of mine, love painting them and yes they are pretty worn out as they've done many mountain miles in all weathers! And as for you feet not being made for walking - I don't believe it for a second - you just put one foot in front of the other and keep on going! I love it but know it's not everyone's cup of tea! Have a great weekend x (the link doesn't work by the way!)
ReplyDeleteCorrected the link, sorry about that. Got hammer toes with wearing winkle pickers with very high heels (yes I am THAT old you won't know what they are) now I'm paying for it. But I do love walking only more gentle these days.
DeletePolly these boots of yours are fab. Lovely choice of warm and cool contrasting colours. By the way you are doing great with FB. It just takes time but I am so glad you joined so we can get to know you better. Enjoy your weekend and don't over do it. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks. FB is ok, with your help it wouldnt be what it is now. Am accepting my progress so far and will start enjoying it, no more sleepless nights. Ta xx
DeleteNow you might be starting a trend here ...maybe I am going to paint some of my old worn out shoes :-) I like yours, well done...and the blue shadowing is perfect !
ReplyDeleteThanks. Hm not just boots shoes, now there's an idea.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely painted, Polly! It's funny that I have been keeping an old, weathered pair of boots, thinking that I may paint them...
ReplyDeleteI challenge you to join us!!!!!
DeleteWhat a great job you did on these boots! I love the shadows around the metal parts where the laces go. So well done!
ReplyDeletePolly, thank you so much for your fun comment on my blog about my new book out today! I am defintely floating high!
Again, thanks for coming by!
Thanks for your kind words. How exciting though to write your own book! So pleased for you.
DeleteGreat job on these. They made a nice painting even if they were uncomfortable. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks. Glad you liked my gumboots!!
